Bullet Proof Coffee

When I first heard about bullet proof coffee, I thought WTH! Adding butter to your morning coffee sounded gross, what could be worse? But then through researching intermittent fasting I found the fat in the coffee allows you “to feel full and energetic for an extended period of time whilst still supporting any diet goals”…interesting… So finally, I found a proper recipe and never looked back (in fact it is the first thing I look forward to each morning!)

How to make Bullet Proof Coffee

  • Take 4 ingredients:
    • A shot of espresso (or you could use a cafetiere)
    • 1 tsp of butter
    • 1 tsp coconut oil
    • A square of dark chocolate or a tsp of cacoa powder
  • Combine ingredients: Add butter, coconut oil and chocolate to an espresso shot together with the same amount of hot water
  • Wizz together in a blender or whisk vigorously with a hand whisk
  • The ingrediants emulsify and appears like a white coffee, amazing!
  • Pour into your favourite cup and enjoy

I think this is the best bullet proof coffee recipe but let us know if you have a better one or a cool variation. I do now omit the chocolate as I find it too rich.

You can use any coffee to make this but I really like it with our own Mountain Water Decaf

    Hand Roasted Coffee

What is hand-roasted coffee? When we say that we hand-roast our coffee we mean that we manually control the whole roasting process.
